SDET AJAY / Legal
Privacy Notice
How we handle your information while you learn, practise, and shop.
Who controls your information
SDET AJAY is the data controller for personal information you provide through this learning platform. For privacy requests, contact behinddigitalworld@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you sign up we collect your email address, account identifiers, profile details you choose to provide, and sign-in information handled by our authentication provider. We store learning activity such as saved progress, bookmarks, quiz scores, interview responses and feedback when you use those features. Demo requests collect the email you submit. We also process basic device, IP address, and service diagnostics for reliability and abuse prevention. If you contact us, we receive your message.
Why and on what basis
We use account and progress data to provide the learning service and synchronize activity across devices (performance of our contract with you); support messages to respond to requests (contract or legitimate interest); and technical logs to secure and improve the service and prevent fraud (legitimate interest and legal obligations). We use demo-request email to respond to that request, not as an automatic purchase. Where optional marketing is introduced, we will seek consent where required.
Purchases and sharing
Our hosting, authentication, infrastructure, and support providers process information needed to operate the site. For digital purchases, Paddle.com acts as Merchant of Record and receives information necessary for checkout, subscription management where applicable, payments, taxes, invoicing, and returns. Paddle handles payment card details; SDET AJAY does not store your full card number. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities where legally required. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and security
We keep account and learning data while your account is active and for as long afterward as reasonably needed for support, legal duties, fraud prevention, and dispute handling, then delete or anonymize it. Purchase records may be retained longer to meet tax and accounting obligations. We use access controls, authenticated access, and encryption in transit; no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can view or export supported account and learning data in your account page. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing, subject to applicable law and retention duties. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it. If you are in the UK or EEA, you can complain to your local data protection authority; we aim to answer applicable rights requests within one month.
Cookies and international transfers
Essential browser storage keeps you signed in, remembers your theme, and stores some learning progress. The service does not currently provide marketing-cookie choices because it does not require marketing cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser, though this may sign you out or remove unsynced progress. Where data is processed outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable.
Updates
We may update this notice when our practices change. The current version will be available here. Email behinddigitalworld@gmail.com for questions or privacy requests.
